Thing Three’s bento threw the same challenge at me as Thing One’s bento today. Space. Spinach manicotti is a filling food, and when he’s distracted (i.e. at school with a ton of other kids) he doesn’t tend to eat a lot.
That meant going with a teeny tiny bento box where I couldn’t really fit his fruits and veggies, or loosely packing a slightly larger (but still small) bento. I opted for the latter. I don’t think he really cares if his food is tightly packed, he just loves bento boxes.
you’ll see spinach manicotti, fresh spinach, a container of ranch dressing, some cucumbers, some orange slices, a few grapes and a black olive.
